Parking -
Our space, located at 311 Puyallup Ave, is primarily accessed by street parking. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please reach out through email or DM for parking accommodations. We have three spaces of “staff parking” in an attached gated lot and can save those spaces as needed.
We are a five minute walk from the Tacoma Dome Station for folks that want to come via public transportation. Parking at the Tacoma Dome Station is generally free for up to 24 hours, but you must pay for parking during Tacoma Dome events. Check Pierce Transit’s website to know if paid event parking will be active at piercetransit.org/transit-centers/.
If you would like someone to walk you to your car for safety after an event, please let an event host know.
Entrances -
The front door of our building on Puyallup Ave has no stairs. The side entrance has one step.
Bathroom -
We have one bathroom. There are no stalls inside and only one toilet (with a hand rail). It has a baby changing station, a shower and plenty of space to maneuver. A shelf of personal care items is available for community members to use/take as needed.
Be Yourself -
Please feel comfortable to do what your body needs while attending events. Sitting, standing, and walking around, for example, are always welcome. There are no requirements for participation levels. Stimming and separating for private quiet moments are welcome.
Children -
We love having children at our events! We have a small selection of toys, books, and art supplies available, but please also feel welcome to bring quiet items from home as desired. When children are in the room as we learn new skills, build community, make art, and plan good trouble, we are helping grow the next generation of activists and artists.
Chest/breastfeeding is always welcome. If you desire a quiet space to do so, our kitchen is separated from the main event space with a wall. Feel free to ask the event host for any specific accommodations and help getting comfortable.
Our bathroom has a baby changing station.
Food -
350 Tacoma and the groups we partner with each do our best to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions when food is served. Feel free to reach out ahead of time if you have specific questions or requests. And of course bringing your own food/drinks is always ok.
Safety & Acceptance -
Bigotry will not be allowed and hosts will remove event attendees as needed to ensure a safe space. We want to foster a place of open dialogue, learning, and meeting people where they are at whenever possible, but not at the expense of the emotional or physical safety of our vulnerable or marginalized community members.
